THAILAND CULTURAL PACKAGES

Day 1: BANGKOK ARRIVAL

Arrive in Bangkok and transfer to your hotel. Early afternoon depart for a city tour with visits to the Vimarnmek Palace in the Dusit park and the adjacent Wat Benjamabophit (Marble Temple). End the day with a stop at the Jim Thompson House before returning to the hotel. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 2: BANGKOK

Morning visit to the Wat Arun, the Royal Barge Museum and Wat Pho by boat. After lunch at a local restaurant visit the Grand Palace (closed on Sundays - the alternative is the National Museum) before returning to hotel. Overnight in Bangkok. (Breakfast/Lunch).


Day 3: BANGKOK DEPART

Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for onward destination. (Alternatively you may extend your stay in Bangkok). (Breakfast)

THAILAND CHIANG MIANG CULTURAL TOUR


  Day 1: CHIANG MAI ARRIVAL

Arrive in Chiang Mai and transfer to your hotel. If time allows, drive up Doi Suthep Mountain overlooking Chiang Mai. After lunch at a local restaurant, take an afternoon tour of the city within the walls to absorb the atmosphere and see its main temples, Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Chiang Man, and Wat Phra Singh. In the evening enjoy a traditional Kantoke dinner with a hill tribe dance show at a local restaurant. Overnight in Chiang Mai. (Lunch/Dinner)


Day 2: CHIANG MAI

After breakfast, drive a loop through the Mae Sa valley west of Mae Rim to get a glimpse of the scenic mountain landscape around Chiang Mai and some of its ethnic minorities. On the way stop at an elephant camp to see the gentle giants at work as well as at some handicraft workshops for which the Chiang Mai region is well known. Lunch at a local restaurant is included. Return to Chiang Mai in the afternoon. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore the local market. Overnight in Chiang Mai. (Breakfast/Lunch)

Day 3: CHIANG MAI DEPART

Free at leisure until transfer for departure for onward destination. Alternatively you may like to extend your holiday and explore the Golden Triangle. (Breakfast)
